From ABBA in Arosa ...

Gaby:

We met after a concert by the ABBA band "Björn Again" in Arosa. Andy was a holiday guest in Arosa when I worked as a ski instructor. The mountains would from then on become our common home. After our romantic wedding at the Hörnli in Arosa, we decided to make our dream come true: namely to run a small, fine restaurant in the Alps. We were able to lease the Pirigen mountain inn in the Grisons region and operate it successfully for many years. A highlight was certainly winning first place on the TV show "Mini Beiz, dini Beiz" in 2016. Our Australian Shepard dog "Bodhi" also belongs to our family. If you hear him barking with joy when you arrive at our hotel, then it will surely make you happy too when you see his excitement!

Andy:

We have a lot of ideas and visions. That is why we were looking for something of our own that we can design according to our taste. Gaby also wanted to live closer to her family in Central Switzerland. Fortunately, in early 2019 we found and bought the Berggasthaus Eggberge in Uri. We love the Alps, nature. So it was also important to us to renovate the existing house as sustainably as possible. For example with an energy-efficient professional kitchen and MINERGI standard insulation and windows. Our hideaway is designed to give traditional cosiness a modern character. We designed the interior ourselves and converted it with local wood using local craftsmen. - Whatever we do, we do it with passion, passion and fun. We hope you as our guests can feel and taste it.

Bodhi:

I chose Gaby and Andy as my parents in 2016 and I've been part of the family ever since. And of course all the guests only come to the Berggasthaus Eggberge because of me, as I greet everyone with a tail wag and sometimes express my joy too loudly. I'm sorry if I scare you with that, that's not my intention. But it is so difficult to suppress my feelings. Everyone in Eggberge knows me and knows that I live with Andy & Gaby. I'm happy to inquire about the area, sometimes on my own, which I probably shouldn't. But there are so many nice places to sniff, inquire and spy on. If I could talk, I would like to tell you about it in detail. But some routes are described in the menu «experience».

Please park at the cable car station and use the cable car.

We are only 20 meters from the mountain station.

dogs

Well behaved dogs are always welcome. Please keep dogs on the line and under the table or bench.

If your dog is staying with you in the hotel room, we would prefer dry dogs, but otherwise please do your best to dry them off outside. Not all hotel rooms are suitable for very large dogs, so please ask otherwise. We don't charge extra, so please try to keep the rooms clean.
