Terms and Conditions – Berggasthaus Eggberge

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between the guest and Berggasthaus Eggberge. They apply to reservations for accommodation, meals, and any additional services.

2. Cancellations

The following cancellation charges apply to accommodation and catering services:

Short stays (1–3 nights, max. 4 rooms):

• Up to 8 days prior to arrival: free of charge

• 7 to 3 days prior to arrival: 50% of the booked services

• 2 to 0 days prior to arrival: 100% of the booked services

2.1 Chapel holiday apartment and hotel reservations of 4 nights or more (max. 4 rooms):

• Up to 31 days prior to arrival: free of charge

• 30 to 15 days prior to arrival: 50% of the booked services

• From 14 days prior to arrival: 100% of the booked services

2.2 Larger groups, 10 or more guests or 5+ rooms, including groups of 12 or more guests with pre-booked meals (e.g. events, clubs, meetings, family gatherings), with or without accommodation:

• Up to 31 days prior to arrival: free of charge

• 30 to 15 days prior to arrival: 50% of the reserved services

• 15 to 0 days prior to arrival: 100% of the reserved services

* Large groups booked via third-party online travel agencies (e.g. Booking.com) may be required to provide direct credit card details to guarantee the reservation.

** For events reserving all or a substantial part of the hotel, a 50% deposit may be required on booking or 30 days prior to check-in.

2.3 Cancellation due to force majeure

In cases of force majeure (e.g. severe weather, storms, etc.), Berggasthaus Eggberge reserves the right to cancel bookings at short notice for safety reasons. Any advance payments will be refunded.

 

3. Prices

All prices quoted by Berggasthaus Eggberge are in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include statutory VAT. Overnight rates are quoted per room and include breakfast unless otherwise stated.

4. Price Changes

Berggasthaus Eggberge reserves the right to adjust published prices in the following cases:

• Newly introduced or increased government charges (e.g. VAT, tourist taxes, etc.)

• Obvious printing or typographical errors

5. Payment

Invoices are issued in Swiss Francs (CHF). Payment may be made in Swiss Francs, but Euros would be accepted (exchange rate will be calculated on a day by day basis).

The following cards are accepted:
Maestro (EC Direct), MasterCard, Visa, and PostCard.

6. Vouchers

Vouchers issued by Berggasthaus Eggberge are denominated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and may be redeemed for goods and services at the property. Any remaining balance will be credited. Cash redemption is not possible.

For vouchers without a stated monetary value that are older than one year (e.g. overnight stay, gourmet menu), current Eggberge prices apply. Any price difference will be settled on site.

 

7. Liability and Damages

Berggasthaus Eggberge accepts no liability for damage to or loss of personal belongings. Guests are liable for any damage or loss caused to the property.

• Parents are responsible for their children, particularly during their stay on the premises of Berggasthaus Eggberge.

• Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to stay in a room without adult supervision.

• Berggasthaus Eggberge accepts no liability for any damages, injuries, or accidents involving children or minors under 16 years of age who are left unsupervised. This also applies to any damage to the building or its furnishings.

• Owners of pets are liable for any damage they may cause

8. Applicable Law / Place of Jurisdiction

Swiss law shall apply exclusively to reservation agreements, these Terms and Conditions, and any supplementary agreements. The place of jurisdiction is Altdorf.
